Near Tepeyac Hill in Mexico City statues depict the apparition of Our Lady to Juan Diego in 1531.

A beautiful statue stands near the Basilica of our beloved Pope John Paul II who after being elected Pope, made is first official visit outside of the Vatican to Mexico City and the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe where he declared “The Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe will be the center from which the gospel of Christ will illuminate the entire world by means of the miraculous image of His Mother.”

Rev. Francis Bagan and Rev. Thomas Euteneur join the Crusade in Mexico City for Mass.

Members of the ministry from Mexico and the United States march to the Basilica in Mexico City in anticipation the Crusade. The walk was led by Maria Payton, Martha Beasley, Elizabeth Hackett, and Sherrie Rasmussen.

Priests gather in the main sanctuary for the Mass launching the International Life and Mercy Crusade.

Under the direction of Cardinal Carrera, the Auxiliary Bishop of Mexico City begins the Mass. Twentry-eight priests concelebrated this special day in history.

Msgr. Diego Monroy Ponce, Rector of the International Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe visits with pilgrims before the Crusade.

The apparition can be viewed at many angles for pilgrims visiting.
